Stilbaai, South Africa
Stilbaai, also known as the Bay of Sleeping Beauty, is a town along the southern coast of South Africa on the Garden Route. Although the popularity of Stilbaai as one of the best tourist destinations on the Garden Route is growing at an ever-increasing rate, it maintains its characteristics as a pollution-free, safe, and peaceful destination. It has long stretches of white sandy beaches, mild weather, and a river that is navigable for 15 km. The weather is ideal for holidaymakers with moderate temperatures and beautiful sunshine days.

Stilbaai offers wonderful water-sport facilities including deep sea fishing, guided ocean kayak trips, paddle skis, and scuba diving, as well as hiking trails and horse riding. There are three small supermarkets, as well as restaurants, coffee shops, and takeaways.

The town is situated 26 km away from the N2 between Mossel Bay and Riversdale at an estuary where the Goukou River meets the Indian Ocean. The nearest national airport is at George, 150 km from Stilbaai. The nearest International Airport is at Cape Town, 350 km away. International visitors will be able to hire a car at either airport.

Stilbaai is situated on both sides of the river, the hall being on the West side. Jongensfontein, a coastal village, is 10 km away on the coast and offers a spectacular view of the ocean. The road from Jongensfontein comes into Stilbaai very close to the hall.

All attending the Feast need to make their own accommodation booking arrangements. Stilbaai and Jongensfontein offer various accommodation options, from holiday homes, bed and breakfast, farm accommodation, and chalets in caravan parks. One may also find further details about other accommodation on the Stilbaai Tourism website (www.stilbaaitourism.co.za) or Airbnb’s website (www.airbnb.co.za). As the Feast falls partly within the October school holidays this year, it would be advisable to not leave your bookings too late.

We sincerely hope to meet you in Stilbaai this year to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles and to get together to worship God, learn more about His way and His future reign, and fellowship together as one family.
